How to change a dress into a top
If you have an old dress in your wardrobe that you a really bored with and because of that haven’t worn it for simply ages, well instead of letting it occupy valuable space in your wardrobe without being of use, or worse still throwing it out, you can change it into a top. You then cut the dress about 4 inches below your waistline, while making sure that the zip on the dress is closed. These 4 inches are firstly because you need spare material in order to sew a hemline to your new top and secondly you want to be left with enough spare material in order to tuck it into the waistline of a skirt or a pair of jeans.
